News logistic platform with automated conveying systems for trays and pallets
Migros Aare, the largest of the ten Migros cooperatives, is expanding its logistics platform. Gilgen Logistics was commissioned to realize the new plant with automated tray and pallet conveyor systems, including management, material flow computer and visualization.
Switzerland's economic and living environment functions thanks to efficient logistics, communication- and transport systems; global, national and local. The Swiss Museum of Transport and the Logistics Foundation present the special exhibition "Logistics, goods traffic and supply chain". The exhibition is supported with various attractions and events. Gilgen Logistics AG is sponsor of this unique project in favor of the logistics scene and its young talents and is participating in the "interactive media wall" to represent the logistics supply chain.

René Holzer has resigned as CEO of Gilgen Logistics AG and will leave the company at the end of August 2020.

Daniel Gilgen - in the third generation of the owning family - took over the systems business on January 1, 2020. The first steps for succession planning have been implemented.
For the new construction of the new logistics center for the storage and cutting of cables, Gilgen Logistics was commissioned. The high-bay warehouse with 4 stacker cranes will have more than 10'000 pallet spaces.
