General Contractor for Complete Intralogistics Solutions
In Stuttgart, the Swiss intralogistics provider Gilgen Logistics AG is showing the intelligent modular principle of the conveyor technology mecom®, which enables the fast and safe transport of containers and cartons in various sizes. A newly developed container stacker / destacker enables optimal single-variety unstacking of different stackings for a fast turnaround in returns logistics. An industrial camera vision system detects the stack structure fully automatically and passes all relevant data on to the controller, which thus controls the conveying process. In confined spaces, high performance, constant performance and high precision can be achieved.
Gilgen Logistics is also presenting the “Machine Maintenance with Augmented Reality Remote Support” as part of the digitalization. On the basis of a live demonstration, she shows a practical demonstration of her own Hololens application. The mixed reality glasses allow the user to view the newly developed conveyor element as an interactive 3D projection. The visual support and the display of interactive content with comprehensible instructions and checklists, which the support specialist can display to the technician or system operator in his field of vision, will result in a high increase of user-friendliness and a quick problem solving. For illustration purposes, high-resolution 3D graphics are projected onto the intralogistics system exactly where the measures have to be carried out.
The Intralogistics Solutions are planned, developed and manufactured in-house by Gilgen and offer efficient, safe and economical transport of goods and materials. The modular design of the components and the energy-saving, frequency-controlled drive technology enable flexible, in-house transport. The robust and low-maintenance conveyor technology offers the highest delivery quality and reliability of the supply chain in the turnkey logistics system and guarantees gentle transport with the highest availability. Whether in the food sector with different temperatures in the cooling and freezing area down to -38°C, for beverage production, for mail order or for retail and wholesale trade, the logistics systems are ideally suited for demanding storage and safe transport.
In addition to the modern logistics systems, Gilgen shows numerous realized logistics projects that demonstrate the competence and performance as a General Contractor. The turnkey systems are realized with our own products from a single source with our own hardware and software components. The coordinated system control and the warehouse management system optimize the material flow and allow an independent and customer-oriented overall solution. In addition to the quality and reliability of the products, the individual customer service is of great importance for us.
